Vortex Hydra originated 50 years ago in 1967 in Ferrara (Italy) to become active in the design and manufacture of industrial automation solutions. Today the company is recognized for its worldwide leadership in the specialist field of concrete roof tile manufacturing machinery.

In recent years Vortex Hydra have also pioneered the automation of wet cast concrete production systems.

Vortex Hydra is also active in the hydraulic works industry as manufacturers and suppliers of large heavy valves to control water flows and gates used in the construction of dams and waterways. It has operated as a partner on many different international dam construction projects.
