Thermguard has been making cellulose fibre ceiling insulation for 35 years and we are expanding! The company has recently relocated to larger premises in Johannesburg to better service our ever-expanding customer base. The fact that Thermguard is made from more than 80% recycled material, with no heat or water used during manufacture, makes it the most eco-friendly thermal and acoustic insulation on the South African market. Our fibres are treated with non-toxic additives to make them fire retardant to SANS specifications as well as insect and rodent repellent. The construction industry is looking for solutions to the problems of sustainability and, more recently, load shedding. Thermguard is the answer when it comes to insulation because of its high recycled content, low-energy manufacturing process and, because it is an insulator, it helps to reduce the load on heating and cooling devices within a building.
